Aaliyah Dana Haughton came into fame in 1994 after she released her debut Album Age Ain't Nothing But a number. When she was just 15 the album was awarded Gold standing. R. Kelly was a major influence on this collaboration which put the singer into the spotlight. In 1996, Jermaine and Timbaland released Aaliyah's second album One In A Million. The album contained the single If Your Girls Only Knew, the single that was most popular. With the success of this album, Aaliyah received international recognition for her performance as an R&B artist. In 2000, she appeared in the romantic action movie Romeo Must Die alongside martial artists Jet-Li. Joel Silver, a film producer, who was attending an award ceremony when she got the role was able to spot her. In 2002, she appeared part of the film vampire Queen of the Damned based on the Anne Rice book. The Matrix Sequels was her debut role. The Matrix Sequels. She had also appeared in The Matrix Reloaded (2003) and The Matrix Revolutions (2007). She was nominated four times at the Grammy Awards in 2001, 1999 and 2002. The actress is the very first generation of Indian-American to be born and raised in Connecticut. Mann is her stage name. Mann is an abbreviation for her married name Mankad. Aarti Magnumdar is her professional name, but she is also known as Aarti Magumdar for her stage name. While her initial career was dominated by minor films and television parts, she gained notoriety in the late 2000s. In addition to The Big Bang Theory, her other notable works include Leverage (2013) Suits (2014) and Grey's Anatomy (2017.) She has also been featured in advertisements for major brands such as international automobile manufacturer Volvo. Her home is with her family in Los Angeles with her husband and daughter. She continues to pursue her acting profession.
