Aaliyah Dana Haaughton soared to prominence after the release of her debut album Age Ain't Nothing More Than A Number in the year 1994. At the age of 15 years old, the album earned Gold status. It was made as an album that was heavily inspired by R. Kelly and it placed her in the limelight. In the year 1996, Jermaine Durpri and Timbaland joined forces to record her second Album One In A Million. The album included the song If Your Boyfriend only Knew as the single number one. Aaliyah gained international recognition as a R&B performer with the release of her sophomore album, One In A Million. She was also on the screen in Romeo Must Die, a romance/action movie with Jet-Li. Her role came about when she was spotted by the film's director Joel Silver at an awards ceremony. Aarti Magnumdar is her professional name, but she is also known as Aarti Magumdar. The acting career of her began in early 2000 with small appearances on television and in films. She has also appeared in Leverage, Suits, Grey's Anatomy and Grey's Anatomy. She has also been featured in commercials for big brands like international car manufacturer Volvo. She is currently working on her acting career with her home in Los Angeles, where she lives with her husband and daughter.
