Aaliyah Dana Haughton came into the limelight in 1994 when she dropped her debut album Age Ain't nothing but an number. She was only 15 at the time and the album went on to become Gold. R. Kelly was a significant influence in this project which brought her into the limelight. The year 1996 saw her release her sophomore album One In A Million with Jermaine dupri and Timbaland. The album contained the top-selling track If Your Girl Only knew. Aaliyah gained international fame for her R&B vocals with this album. The year 2000 saw her starred alongside the legendary martial artist Jet Li as Jet Li in Romeo Must Die. Joel Silver spotted her in the awards ceremony. Queen of the Damned was her debut role in 2002. It's based on The Anne Rice novel. The Matrix Sequels followed, with Zee as her character. She received four nominations at the Grammy Awards in 1999, 2001 and 2002. Aarti Mann.....................Aarti Mann also known as Aarti Majumdar is an American actor who is best known for her portrayal of Priya Koothrappali in the popular TV series The Big Bang Theory. Aarti Mann is an Indian-American from the her first generation, born in Connecticut. Her stage name Mann is an abbreviation of her married name Mankad. However, she uses both Aarti Mann and Aarti Majumdar for professional names. Though she started her career by playing minor film and television roles her acting career gained momentum in the mid-2000s. In addition to The Big Bang Theory, her notable other works include Leverage (2013) Suits (2014) and Grey's Anatomy (2017.) She also appeared in several commercials, including Volvo and many other major car brands. The actress currently resides with her family in Los Angeles along with her wife, son and daughter. She also pursues her acting profession.
