Aaliyah Dana Haughton and Aarti Mann
Aaliyah Dana Haughton came into fame in 1994, after she released her debut Album Age Ain't nothing but A number. She was only 15 at the time and the album was later renamed Gold. R. Kelly heavily influenced the group and helped bring the singer into the spotlight. In 1996 she worked with Jermaine Dupri and Timbaland to record her follow-up album One In A Million which contained the number-one hit single If Your Girl Only Knew. Aaliyah achieved international recognition for her R&B songs through the release of this album. She was a part of the legendary martial artist Jet Li in 2000's romantic-action movie Romeo Must Die. Joel Silver, the film producer, saw her at the awards ceremony and kindly offered the role. In 2002, she was able to play the horror film Queen of the Damned which was inspired by Anne Rice's Anne Rice novel. In 2003, she starred in The Matrix Reloaded and The Matrix Revolutions. She has received four Grammy nominations in 1999 and 2003. Aarti Mann.....................Aarti Mann also known as Aarti Majumdar is an American actor who is best known for her portrayal of Priya Koothrappali in the popular TV series The Big Bang Theory. She is an Indian-American of her first generation, born in Connecticut. Mann is a shortening of her married final name Mankad. Mann employs Aarti Man and Aarti Mahumdar to refer to her stage name. While she started out with minor TV and film performances, her acting career picked up growth in the latter half of 2000s. In addition to The Big Bang Theory her other most acclaimed works include Leverage (2012) Suits (2013) as well as Grey's Anatomy (2017). In addition, she was a part of several commercials including Volvo as well as other major auto brand names. She has a daughter, who lives in Los Angeles and is pursuing her acting.
